‘Blasphemy’ case registered

LAHORE: Panic gripped residents of Baghbanpura when a case of alleged ‘blasphemy’ was registered on the complaint of a qari on Friday. Baghbanpura police registered the case under sections 295-C and 298-A on the complaint of Mushtaq Ahmad Farooqi, the qari of Jamia Masjid Al Farooq in Fatehgarh. Mushtaq said that Hafiz Nauman, Saleem and unidentified residents of the area published literature against the Deobandi sect. staff report
